Admist the sounds of DJ La La Land a bevy of publicists, event planners and bloggers among other entertainment notables indulged in some of the most extravant treats at the 2nd Annual Women in PR Beauty Lounge. Celebrity cupcakeologist StudioChefs Cupcakes (@studiochefs) gave all a sweet-tooth with their watermelon flavored tresures and the Black Momma Vodka team served up plenty of candy but the specialty cocktails from the mixologist were the best treat for most! Notwithstanding the culinary decadence served up by Posh Palete turned the most simple foodie into an aspiring epicurean. Rounds and rounds of spinach and strawberry feta salad with strawberry vinaigrette, shrimp creole veggie shooters and caribbean seafood salad were vanshing as quickly as they were being placed on the table.

Throughout the day the Make Up Mix Studio in Burbank where the event was held saw upwards to 200 guest grace its newly opened doors mixing, mingling and enjoying the many services provided by some of the swankiest vendors in Los Angeles. The owners, Brandy and Karen were on hand to provide full makeup applications to event-goers with skincare tips thrown in for good measure. If the natual moisturizing balm of eco- couture Naturally Bare didn’t relax and rejuvenate participants, the soothing hands of Mr. Royal Treatment- masseuse Antone Murray definitely did. His royal treamtment massages consisted of a customized massage geared at the places you needed pampered most.  Outside the venue, a newcomer to the fashion world via four-wheels and a sexy exhaust swathed in pink, Le Fashion Truck provided an open-air shopping experience to attendees as only a mobile boutique can do. Some of the hottest accessories, clothing and handbags by  some of the hottest desingers were on display and for sale-some patrons bought their #ootd (outfit of the day for you non-instagrammers) for the next entertainment event on the calendar. Just a few feet away from the FIRST store on wheels the red carpet was all a buzz with photographers snapping up photos of celebs, publicists and bloggers who made the carpet come alive with all the exhuberant personalities that mixed to make the day an overwhelming success.

This annual event is the brainchild of Ms. Anje Collins of The Luxe PR Group in Miami and co-founder of the Women In PR organization. This is the second year she has brought the event to Los Angeles- partnering with sister agencies in the public relations realm – our very own Dana Fikes of The D Network and publicist with a flair Ms. Erica Lane of The Kartel Company. Touted as the event that spotlights those who bring the spotlight to others, the Women In PR Relax and Rejuvenate soiree gets better each year and the publicists, bloggers and event planners who have become regulars in the two years of it’s exixtence can attest to that. Will you be in attendance next year? Bring your business cards- men have made it their “event to attend” as well- and it never hurts to network and flirt- all at the same damn time!
